Emperor of England's charter allowed the East India Company to keep to any booty taken in war against the enemies of the king and the company. The confisticated goods, after the war, could be kept with them.

7/6/1935Dalai Lama, the 14th incarnate and religious leader of Tibet, was born. He was born to Tenzin Gyotso (His Holiness the VIVth Dalai Lama) in Taksten Village, Chhija Nangso, Tibet. He was awarded with Nobel Prize for Peace in 1989.
1/11/1966Lal Bahadur Shastri, Indian Prime Minister (1964-66), passed away at Tashkent, U.S.S.R. at 1:32, age 61. He was awarded the Bharat Ratna posthumously.
